I watched two episodes and have now given up. Careful criminals leave huge signals as to who they are so the police get their man in the end. And about those clues, well it's as if the miscreants have left them strewn around for the cops to find. I didn't like that format then and it was even less effective now.

The series goes the "Colombo" route, in other words, as in the venerable old American series, we get to see the whole lot, the victim, the murderer, crime and motivation, near the beginning and are then meant to marvel at the cleverness of the detectives in uncovering clues to arrive at what we already know. How many times have we seen that grizzled old plot device? The other main disappointment was the format. This resulted in an absurd situation in episode two when the least senior officer took it upon herself to investigate a lead alone to refute an accusation of being useless from a far more senior team member. It was clear that the characters' personalities were not integrally part of them, but devices to drive the plot along. Somewhat more successful than previous television series involving invisible secret agents, it aired from 9 June 2000 to 1 February 2002, lasting two seasons. It sounds exciting and different but it quickly became wearying and clichéd.
